RFS: State of the Art of Robotic Neurointervention

When:  Jan 27, 2021 from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM (ET)

Robotic procedures may have many potential benefits, including reduced radiation dose to patients and operators and increased procedural and technical accuracy. Dr. Pereira of Toronto Western Hospital will present the results of the world’s first robotic neuroendovascular procedure for the treatment of brain aneurysms. This work has enormous implications for the future of endovascular stroke treatment, especially for patients in rural areas who may have difficulties accessing EVT. These are the patients who could benefit from “remote procedures”.
