SIR is thrilled to invite you to our exclusive course, "Introduction to Research Online Program (ITROP) 2023". This 8-week educational program is an excellent opportunity to learn the foundations of quality medical research from expert faculty within the specialty. ITROP 2023 is a joint collaboration between the RFS, SIR and SIR Foundation.

ITROP provides a unique ‘crash course’ in the fundamentals of research that is designed and taught by renowned academic interventionalists, for future interventionalists. Following successful courses in 2017 and 2020, the content of ITROP 2023 has been updated to include emerging topics in IR such as artificial intelligence. Moreover, lectures for several existing topics have been enhanced based on prior feedback to provide participants with the best learning experience. ITROP 2023 consists of eight online modules – four featuring live, webinar-style lectures and four featuring self-paced, pre-recorded lectures.

ITROP 2023 will consist of eight modules:

Who Should Attend?

ITROP’s target audience includes medical students interested in IR and radiology residents, particularly those on an IR training pathway. ITROP aims to provide a concise overview of high-yield research fundamentals that reviews basic material while also offering something new for IR trainees of all levels.
