The key idea of the Small and Rural Practice Committee is ensuring that SIR understands and supports the issues of concern from small and rural practices. The group aims to drive important initiatives and create a community to address the challenges in recruiting and retaining interventional radiologists in these smaller practices all around the country. The small and rural practice also focuses on communicating the value of IR to DR colleagues, hospital administration in smaller practices, and in rural hospitals that are financially insecure. This group works within SIR's Health Policy and Economics Division. This committee is looking for physician attendings to join the committee starting on September 9th.
The small and rural practice group meets every six weeks or bimonthly from 7:30 to 8:30 pm or 8 to 9 pm ET.
