2024 Research Education and Outreach Committee

The SIR Foundation Research Education & Outreach Division is charged with identifying areas in IR in which SIR and interested members would benefit from receiving research resources and additional educational opportunities. The division's committee is responsible for promoting overall research and education opportunities. The Division is tasked with developing the vision and goals for research and research education, with the approval of the Board. 

Responsibilities: 

• Volunteers for the Research Education and Outreach Committee will help support the GEMS Program. 
• Support and oversee the Summer Medical Internship Program by reviewing, scoring, and selecting awardees every cycle.
• Support the IR Lunch & Learn sessions by moderating the sessions when needed. 

Meeting frequency: 

The committee will meet four times a year.
