The Resident Governing Council of the RFS (Resident, Fellow and Student Section) is the voice for trainees interested in Interventional Radiology (IR) and will advocate for them at the national and international level. The group will promote a clinical model of IR practice at the medical student, resident and fellow level by stressing the necessity of becoming disease experts, and above all else, by focusing on patient-centered care. The group will work to influence the training model to reflect these goals, at least in part by advocating for the development of resident and fellow-driven clinics and supporting the development of IR residency programs. This group works within SIR's Member Services Division.
We are looking for a resident to chair the RFS Membership Committee. The resident chair works heavily with the RFS Service Lines and the RFS Reserves.
New Committee Representative Notice:
Please note the RFS Membership resident chair will lead the resident workgroup inside their RFS Committee. The resident chair of this committee will also sit as a representative on the SIR equivalent committee. Ex: RFS Membership resident chair will also sit on the SIR Membership Committee.
