 SIR recognizes that its members are in a unique position to answer the call for interventional procedural alternatives to opioid therapy for the management of pain, including current clinical options and innovative approaches for the future. The SIR Pain Management Council (formerly known as service line) intends to build on the foundation and strength of its members so that the interventional radiology skill set and evolved technology can be applied to specifically to the management of acute and chronic pain, including the development of advanced techniques as alternatives or adjuncts to pharmacological management, the dissemination and implementation of pain practice fundamentals, and the establishment of guidelines for operators.

 

The Pain Management Council and its Councilor J. David Prologo, MD, FSIR, is looking for volunteers from the SIR membership to serve on the Pain Management Council. The deadline for volunteer applications is July 1, please use the link below to express interest in serving. The Pain Management Council is a community of SIR members committed to the development, dissemination, implementation, and support of advanced interventional pain management techniques through interventional radiology.
