Volunteer Opportunities

Welcome to SIR Volunteer Central. Volunteers are the heart of our society and help to power the initiatives of SIR and SIR Foundation. On this page SIR Members can find a variety of open opportunities ranging from ad-hoc volunteer opportunities to three-year committee appointments. We encourage members to apply to positions that match their expertise and interest. Please note that only SIR members can volunteer with the society and you must log into SIR Connect to apply to opportunities.

Utilize these quick steps to begin volunteering:

    • Opt in to the volunteer pool with the subscription feature located above - opting in will allow you to receive email invitations to apply for new opportunities that match the content of your volunteer profile.
    • Complete your volunteer profile and select options that align with your interests and qualifications.

Please note that the time of year determines which type of volunteer opportunities are available. See the graphic below as a reference:

    SIR Diversity and Inclusion Statement
The Society of Interventional Radiology recognizes that the success of our mission draws strength not just from the clinical expertise of our physicians, but from the diversity of their backgrounds and experiences as human beings in the world. SIR values a culture of inclusion in which all members of the IR community are accepted, respected and embraced. Our definition of diversity includes, but is not limited to the dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, nationality, age, physical and mental ability, socioeconomic status, and ideologies.
