Description:

We are the voice for trainees interested in Interventional Radiology (IR) and will advocate for them at the national and international level. We will promote a clinical model of IR practice at the medical student, resident, and fellow level by stressing the necessity of becoming disease experts, and above all else, by focusing on patient-centered care. We will support trainees in their pursuits to continually expand their knowledge base to become true disease experts. We will work to influence the training model to reflect these goals, at least in part by advocating for the development of resident and fellow-driven clinics and supporting the development of IR residency programs. As the future of the specialty, we will work to recruit the best and the brightest like-minded trainees to further propel IR to the forefront of clinical medicine and patient care.
